Maurice Kaehler

Maurice Kaehler

ASSOCIATE MFT# 15485491

Maurice’s path into healing began in 1988, when he turned to yoga to recover from major brain trauma. That experience launched a lifelong inquiry into human resilience and the deeper structures of transformation. Over the decades, Maurice expanded his expertise across energy-based healing, psychology, history, philosophy, and world religions. His journey has included meaningful study with shamans, gurus, yogis, healers, holy men and women, and contemporary visionaries—each encounter refining his understanding of how people change, awaken, and rebuild their lives from the inside out.

Maurice holds a B.A. in History from UCLA and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, blending academic rigor with embodied practice. His therapeutic work integrates somatics, dialogue, mindfulness, and meaning-making, offering clients an approach that is grounded, intuitive, and deeply human. Nancy Gurvey

Nancy Gurvey

ASSOCIATE MFT# 159353

Nancy Gurvey is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with couples and individuals. She holds two master’s degrees, one in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and a second from the University of Southern California. She also earned her undergraduate degree from New York University.

Nancy helps people pay attention to what happens in real time. The moment a tone shifts. The moment someone pulls away. She supports couples in noticing disconnection as it happens and exploring what leads to distance or escalation. Repair is central to her work. She helps partners slow down, reflect, and move toward each other with more intention.

With individuals, Nancy often works by slowing the pace and noticing what surfaces between therapist and client in the present moment. Sessions tend to deepen when emotion is allowed to rise instead of being rushed past. She is interested in what sits beneath the story. The hesitation. The defended place. The truth someone keeps circling but has not spoken yet.

Her style is straightforward and thoughtful. She pays attention to patterns and invites clients to understand how those patterns shape their relationships and sense of self. Nancy believes therapy is a place where answers are discovered rather than delivered. She works with clients to find those answers together through awareness, honesty, and practice that continues outside the room.

Elizabeth Tang

Elizabeth Tang

ASSOCIATE MFT# 147262

Hello, I’m Elizabeth Tang, your fellow traveler on the path to healing! As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m thrilled to be by your side as we uncover the layers of your story together. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology at California State University, Northridge and my master’s degree at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Counseling Psychology, with emphasis in Depth Psychology.

My journey as a therapist has taken me through a variety of settings, from working with children, teens, and adults in schools and Telehealth, to helping those in crisis at a psychiatric hospital. I started at an all-male high school, then moved to community mental health, where I served at-risk youth and underserved communities. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of watching how the power of empathy and a safe space can spark transformation in people’s lives.

As a second-generation Asian American, I’m especially passionate about how culture shapes mental health. I know firsthand the weight of feeling “different” and how shame can push people toward unhealthy coping strategies. That’s why I take a collaborative approach, meeting my clients exactly where they are emotionally—no judgment, just a lot of compassion.

My therapeutic style pulls from Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Depth Psychology, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a growing interest in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Together, we’ll process your pain, unravel past traumas, and pave the way for a happier, healthier life.

In my spare time, you can find me reconnecting with nature on a hike, nurturing my houseplants, or spending time with my family, friends, and my mischievous cat, Ziggy.
